About Me

I’m a 30 something Irish guy that works in the IT business. Inside the trade I’m interested in Linux, Internet technologies and mobile hardware and services. Outside, I enjoy a good book, a nice beer and decent game of rugby……

P.S. This is a personal blog, and while I do have a professional involvement in a lot of the technical topics I mention in some of my posts, they do not reflect company policy or ethos.

Image0012 … and they sure make a lot of noise for old guys. There were 82,000 thirty- and forty-somethings jammed into Croke Park last night and it was pretty cool. Andy Summers was a bit all over the place on some songs, (apparently Steward Copeland has been bitching about it on his website), but Sting and Stewart Copeland were studio perfect all night. They played all the hits, including a 15 minute long rendition of King of Pain so the fans went away happy.

The only bitches I have about the gig were:

  1. They brought along Sting’s son’s band as a support act, and to be honest, they should stick to the London pub circuit.
  2. People started leaving early to beat the traffic. For fuck’s sake, they missed the entire four song encore!!!
